We sadly say a farewell to one of our previous OMS NZ missionaries, Ray Hollier who passed away early in May.
After a one year visit to Japan, learning about the work God was doing through OMS, Ray and his wife Betty’s hearts were set. In 1975, OMS NZ were honoured to send out Ray and Betty to Japan where they served faithfully for the next 20 years.
Ray served at the Oshima Youth Camps primarily as a maintenance and construction worker. This camp welcomed thousands of youth over the years Ray was there, and many youth who came to Christ then went on to train as Pastors at the Bible Seminary in Tokyo.
Let’s celebrate that Ray is now with Jesus and be inspired to live a passionate life of service as Ray did, using his gifts to bring God glory.
