Blessed To Be A Blessing

Blessing the Mangyan People and out delivering food packages

When the pandemic hit the world in 2020, everyone was affected. It hit even harder for those who relied on going out to work every day to make a living. Below is an update from our missionaries in the Philippines as they tirelessly worked to help their communities through this hard time.

“I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.” Genesis 12:2 NLT.

Though the pandemic continues to sweep the Philippines, our missionaries Phil and Ruth, and her parents Rely and Lalaine, have not slowed down in serving their communities.

“Food for the soul and stomach:

August was a bit tough as the place we live in was surrounded with families who have had positive covid cases. Some have lost loved ones and some were forced to stop working or have had businesses affected. We know it is not only happening here, but what has challenged us is that we cannot be paralyzed by doing nothing if we want to keep extending the Kingdom. We have continued ministering online, praying and encouraging others, delivering meals and goods.

JCM Malolos at the moment is both online and in person as only 30% volume of people are allowed onsite. This allows the tribe to also tune in after their service on Sunday.

Blessing the parents through education:

Ruth and Dave (her brother) have recently started training and teaching some of the married women and one of the men at the tribe online for a month to complete their unfinished courses in elementary and high school. This training gives them encouragement and greater understanding of the modules they are completing through ALS (Alternative Learning System). Please pray for good internet connection, wisdom and enthusiasm to learn. Pray also for provision for their online gadgets and phone credit.

Sponsorship:

Thanks to our intentional partners who not only sponsor, but strive to help children enjoy their basic needs and that includes physical and spiritual needs. Considerately pray for child sponsors as we have a growing number of kids in the community. Pray for faith and perseverance for the students.”

Thank you for your partnership for the Kingdom,

Phil and Ruth Robinson.
