Owen & Avalon Brown (Ecuador) Print E-mail
Now back in New Zealand for our year of ‘Home Mission Assignment,’ we have been travelling extensively over the last 6 months of 2007, in fact the length of New Zealand, from Dargaville in the North to Gore in the South.  We spoke in many churches, in home meetings, Bible in Schools and visiting people who are part of the ministry to the Saraguro people in Ecuador.  It has been a tremendous time and we haven’t finished yet.

We still have meetings arranged and many individuals we are looking forward to seeing.
Christmas Day was special for us, with 4 of our 5 adult children and our 4 grandchildren to spoil.  What a great day we had.  The summer has been glorious this year so we have had some lovely family days in the sun at the beach where we have our house (The tenants gave notice just before Christmas).  We welcomed our daughter home to NZ in February, and attended Avalon’s brother’s wedding, which Owen conducted.  Our home has needed lots of maintenance so that has kept us busy in January.  For the early half of this year we will promote missions and continue with meetings and visits.  Avalon resumes her Bible College of NZ studies through distance learning, while Owen will begin some more language studies to further his Spanish abilities.  Therefore we have decided to delay our planned April return to Ecuador in order to do some more language learning in NZ and for family reasons.  We anticipate returning to Ecuador in the spring or early summer.

To all our team, friends and supporters, thank you so much for your wonderful support and encouragement.
