Philippines Experience 2010

What we’ll be doing:

Learning.  Helping others begins with a willingness to learn from them.  We will begin by learning from national leaders about their culture and local ministry

Serving. According to your gifting, the following ministry activities are needed: 
Creative ministries:  puppetry, music, drama, art, dance; can be used to support the ‘New Beginnings’ programme among the urban poor children.
Health: teaching on hygiene, nutrition, and preventative health. 
Building skills:  help with initiatives taken in a slum community to provide various community facilities
Youth Leader Internship:  with the vibrant youth ministry of the Faith Fellowship Church in Manila.

Relationship building.  The hostel where we stay is on the edge of an urban poor community where there is ample opportunity to develop friendships with local children and their families.  There is opportunity for teaching in life skills or using chess for example to develop friendships etc.

We also have teams planned for Hungary and Ukraine English camps in July 2010!
