OMS IS ON THE MOVE
The last 15 years have seen extraordinary growth. Building on foundations laid by our pioneer workers, OMS missionary outreach has expanded from 16 to 43 countries and is still growing. We give all praise and glory to God for what He is doing through folk like you and me. It is exciting to trace the growth of our work in Africa over the past few years. Beginning in Mozambique after the fall of the Communist regime, our outreach in Africa has spread rapidly into 30 African countries mainly through our Into Africa missionary program. Through the work of Every Community for Christ (ECC), evangelism teams continue to be sent into many countries winning people for Christ and planting new churches weekly for the glory of God. |

Every year, OMS in Hungary organize English camps where students improve their conversational English skills in an environment of Christian love, fun and games. English camps are great opportunities for native English speakers to experience the realities of missions first hand. Over the years, many New Zealanders have had their lives changed forever as they made themselves available to serve God for two or three weeks at an English Camp. In 2005, Esther Paddon from Geraldine, took the opportunity while on an overseas trip, to assist at an OMS English Camp at Vác, Hungary. Read what happened

No single event in all the history of mankind has attracted so much interest or so many critics, as the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the tomb. The evidence of this miracle is still questioned today. Does it have any significance for us in the twenty first century? Can we trust the records? |

What price Christmas? |

For many of us Christmas can be something of an ordeal – decisions to be made about gifts for a long list of family members and friends. All the hype and glitz of the TV advertising telling our children (and mothers and fathers too) which latest expensive toys and gadgets we need to make us happy! If we followed the TV recommendations for our family and friends we would go broke over Christmas. How then can we survive? |

Daily as we experience God's goodness, grace and help we praise Him as we work with our OMS church here. At the beginning of August when the shops had reopened from the obon holidays John began the work of putting down the new flooring.
